When artist Mary Badenhop founded Pipsqueak Productions in 1986, it was the realization of her dreams. At
age 5, she knew the roads she wanted to pursue: art, travel, and her own business. After 15 years, Mary leads a team of 15
employees striving to make Pipsqueak Productions the "Best of Breed".
Mary has created over 280 designs featuring more than 70 breeds of dogs, cats, ferrets, and birds. Her love of travel is seen
throughout her work, such as when she puts scenes of Italy and France
in her backgrounds. Of course nothing pleases Mary more than to know the story behind a pet
featured in a photo she is drawing from. Many of her designs are based on photos sent in by
people who have pets rescued or adopted.
In regards to fundraising, Pipsqueak Productions gives generously. Her lovingly rendered
designs are used to raise awareness and generate funds to help thousands of homeless and abused
animals. Shown above is one of Mary's significant personal contributions this year. The donation and dedication of "Saved By
The "A" was the culmination of a six month effort. The painting,
commissioned by the ASPCA, was created as a centerpiece in the reception area of the ASPCA's new Urban Cat Habitat, a feline
adoption center and shelter located in the ASPCA National Headquarters in New York City. The theme behind the painting is an
ASPCA shelter kitten telling other homeless cats in Central Park how a better life awaits them through pet adoption at the
Urban Cat Habitat.
Mary's love for animals and her New York home is evident in the beautiful canvas which is now on permanent public display.
This latest project has inspired her to begin painting a series of large
format pet portraits for her upcoming gallery show and corporate commissions.
For the future Mary wants to continue to bring joy into people's lives through her artwork. As long as she does, Pipsqueak
Productions will keep people smiling with wonderful breed-specific merchandise you see in the following website.
